Mobile data usage
Who actually uses their mobile data allowance on their mobiles each month ?
I rarely get through 5GB at most
But 02, Vodafone etc do these ridiculous offers of 250GB or unlimited data allowance but I really don’t know how people use all this data and prices of these ridiculous plans each month is mental and what for ??
Surely it’s best to keep to as low and cheapest plan possible

I have two SIMs one for me and one for my missus on Sky mobile we get 2Gb a month but it allows us to bank any excess. I only ever go above my limit when I'm on holiday but I take data out of the banked pool. As it stands I have 62Gb in the bank as we generally use Wifi. I have unlimited calls and texts and all for the princely sum of £14 a month and that includes both SIMs. We both have Iphone 8s inherited from kids that must have the latest model.

I have a EE contract for 100GB a month - I use about 10GB myself. However I have 3 additional numbers on my contract for the family at the cost of £6 per additional number. These have unlimited calls and texts but no data - but I can gift data. Kids use about 50GB between them, my wife around 5GB. Its the cheapest way of doing it I have found. Kids/wife fight for the hand me down phone when I renew my contract. All phones are insured so can be replaced in the event of kids breaking them. As kids phones are under my contract I can content filter what they have access to through my/one profile. Only pain is every month data is reset and I have to regift. For all the family to have phones/data etc costs me £60 a month.

I switched from contract to sim only on EE when my deal expired, saved myself 50 quid a month, and get 20gb. But I only use about 3gb of that cos I have Wi-Fi at home, at work, in the gym and down the local.

Me, wife and eldest child all have 100GB a month. My son gets through the most as he is constantly on You Tube and streaming football matches when he is out and about. He blows about 30GB of his 100GB. I pay £10 a month for his tariff.

I get 150gb data on O2 and it doubles because I have got Virgin Media, unlimited texts and calls and international roaming for £10 a month.

I bash my phone' data and it's nice to know that I don't have to look at my data usage. The infrastructure is already there and jf you take out a tiny data allowance and go over your monthly limit it's a great way for your provider to pick your pocket.

Last week I was in a god forsaken place in Italy (for work)

I stayed in a miserable B&B (which BTW didn't serve breakfast so it was only a B) and their WIFI was down (due to the street being dug up) I therefore used my whole month's data and am now worried about the holiday I have next week

Think the most I’ve used is 63 gig.

YouTube, radio player and Spotify basically on 24/7

Re: Mobile data usage
If you have no broadband fixed line or cable internet and are on 5g its easy to use > 200gb a month.
